Surrey United Women win Bronze Surrey United had a long flight home to think about the one that got away in Newfoundland over the Thanksgiving weekend. United won three of four games at the Women's National Club Soccer Championships but the one loss proved to be the difference between gold and bronze medals for the five-time B.C. champions. "When you have high expectations, winning a bronze medal is a disappointment." said Surrey United president Martin Foden. "That's what we had to settle for though and life goes on. It's all about winning the gold, that's all anybody remembers. Players Wanted Surrey United Division 1 ladies team is looking for players to join their Fall Season established team. We practice/play out of Cloverdale Athletic Park. We extend an open invitation to attend our practices on each Wednesday evening @ 8:15 PM on the Turf field. The Surrey United Premier Women defeated Westside FC 3-1 in overtime to win the open women's open A division at the Senior Provincial Championships in Chilliwack, Saturday May 10th, their fifth consecutive provincial cup.
