BCSA Small Sided Referee Clinic

Surrey United will be hosting a “Small Sided Referee Clinic” on July 23 at the Surrey United Clubhouse from 9:00AM-5:00PM. This is for individuals who are 12-14 years and wish to take their first step to refereeing soccer. Cost for the clinic is $35.00 per student.
This program is a 1 day, 8 hour class that reviews the “FIFA Laws of the Game” and prepares successful participants for officiating the small sided/mini game, also known as U9 and U10 soccer.

BCSA Referee Entry Level Clinic

Surrey United will be hosting an “Entry Level Clinic” on August 5/6/7. This is for individuals who are either over the age of 14 years and wish to become referee’s or for those who had previously completed the “Small Sided Course” and have now reached 14 years of age. This is also open to adults.

This program is a 3 day, 17 hour class that reviews the “FIFA Laws of the Game” and prepares successful participants on officiating the 11-a-side game. This course also gives instruction on the duties of the Assistant Referee. Successful participants who are 16 years of age or older will achieve “District” status and those between the ages of 14-16 will achieve the “Youth” status.

Successful participants are required to register annually with the BCSA as a referee to be eligible to officiate within the Association.

BCSA Annual Referee Refresher Clinic

Surrey United will be hosting a refresher clinic on August 17. This is a requirement in order to officiate soccer matches governed by the BCSA. All registered referees must complete an annual refresher clinic. It is free of charge.
