Surrey United Soccer Club - Fields & Schedules
Field Allocations & Schedules: Field Preparation

1) GRASS FIELDS AT LOCATIONS OTHER THAN CAP

It is the responsibility of the first team on the field to prepare the field for the day's play.
This normally includes:

  • Unlocking the portable goals
  • Setting up the Nets
  • Putting out the Corner Flags

All goal nets plus a key (to unlock the goals where needed) are stored in bins earmarked for specific fields in the Storage Tower at Cloverdale Athletic Park along with the corner flags.
Teams are expected to review the field schedule throughout the week (as field schedules change) to determine if they are the first or last team on the field that week.
Do not assume, for instance, that just because you have a 2.00pm kick-off teams will be playing before you.
It is the responsibility of the last team on the field that day to take down the nets, collect the corner flags and return to the Storage Tower at Cloverdale Athletic Park by Field #2on the day of their game.
Then lock the goals up.
If everyone follows these rules there should be no problems and people will not be wasting time searching all over for equipment.

2) GRASS FIELDS AT CAP

11 a side
Nets are left on goals throughout the week and the goals will be unlocked for your games on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Corner Flags are stored in the container between CAP #4 & CAP #5
The first team of the day sets up the goals and puts out the corner flags
The last team of the day locks up the goals to the backfence and returns the flags to the container.

Mini Grass Fields
All nets are stored in bins earmarked for specific fields in the the container between CAP #4 & CAP #5
The first team of the day up the nets and the last team of the day takes down the nets and returns them to the container.
The last team of the day on CAP Mini #2 locks up the portable goals to the goals on the gravel field

3) TURF FIELDS

The City of Surrey provides nets for all synthetic fields and these remain on the goals at all times.
All clubs and teams playing 11 a side games are supposed to provide their own corner flags.
Our turf corner flags are kept in the Storage Tower at Cloverdale.
For those impacted teams please follow the usual protocol.
Check the field schedule throughout the week
First team of the day set-up the corner flags and last team of the day collect the flags and return them to the Storage Tower
