
2010/11 Surrey-Guildford United High Performance Academy
The Surrey-Guildford United Metro Program is excited to offer a high performance academy program for the select players of both Surrey United and Guildford AC during the 2010-11 soccer season. The program will be open to U9-U12 boys and girls. This program is entering its second year and the benefits of year one were immense with many of our players being recognized for higher-level programming with BC Soccer and Whitecaps FC as well as some of our top-flight teams achieving some major accomplishments, including District Cup, Coastal Cup and Provincial Cup championships. Referee Entry Level Clinic
Surrey United will be hosting a “Referee Entry Level Clinic” on September 10th,11th, & 12th . This is for individuals who are either over the age of 14 years and wish to become referee’s or for those who had previously completed the “Small Sided Course” and have now reached 14 years of age and is also open to adults. Attention Parents of 4 year old future soccer stars!
SUSC is pleased to announce that we are introducing a new age
group to Mini Soccer called the Future Stars Program. This is
structured for entry level boys and girls born in 2006 and early
2007 who just can't wait to play soccer! Sessions will
be conducted by our resident staff coaches with parent participation
strongly encouraged. The program will run in the fall and will
comprise 8 weekly one hour sessions where they will be instructed in
the entry level FUNdamentals of soccer. The program will
commence Sept. 12 and will finish Nov. 7th, no games on the
Thanksgiving weekend.
Registration cost will be $100 and each player will be provided with
a program training top.
There will only be a limited number of spots in the program so
register early to avoid disappointment.

MINI REGISTRATION
We are still accepting registrations for our Mini program (those
children born in 2005 to 2001).

Fall & Winter Practice Times
We are busy planning for the clubs new season and are currently involved in the field allocation process with the City of Surrey. We expect the allocations to be finalized within the next ten days and when it is we shall be working on our practice schedule and anticipate having that available by 26th July. Chevrolet Making Dreams Possible
Today, Chevrolet presented 51 Canadian community sport clubs from across Canada with a grant of $2,000 each for coach training and development activities. Since inception in 2006, Chevrolet Making Dreams Possible has donated nearly $1 million to Canadian coaches at all levels of competition. Surrey United was one of those soccer clubs selected and we thank our Secretary Lisa Finkle for her substantial efforts in coordinating our application.
