U13 (2007-born) Intake Coaches Announced

Adam Day currently holds his B.Sc. degree in Physical Education as well as the prestigious UEFA A Licence, which is the penultimate qualification in UEFA Coaching Licensing

Surrey United is very excited to formally announce that Adam Day and Ari Adams will be the coaches of our next U13 boys and girls Intake teams (2007-born) respectively. Both of these coaches have been extremely successful coaches in terms of player development and advancement along the player development pathway.

Adam Day currently holds his B.Sc. degree in Physical Education as well as the prestigious UEFA A Licence, which is the penultimate qualification in UEFA Coaching Licensing and he most recently received his Elite Formation Coaching Licence from the World Champions France after a specialised 15 month course with the French Football Federation.  Adam is originally from London, UK and after an outstanding youth career with esteemed clubs such as Charlton Athletic and AFC Bournemouth, Adam moved to N America on a soccer scholarship where he achieved great success of being named a 2x All American.  Adam’s coaching career began early, and it has now spanned across 17 years where he has worked in a variety of roles from a University Head Coach, Technical Director, Director of Football, Academy Director and Head Coach. He has coached for one of the world’s biggest clubs in English Premier League Giants, Arsenal F.C and has recently been appointed Technical Director for our regional partner, Guildford AC, after 3-1/2 successful years with the sought-after Vancouver Whitecaps FC Residency Program where he served as U17 Head Coach.  Adam recently returned to our Surrey United BCSPL as Interim Head Coach with the 2002 BCSPL girls team.

Ari Adams currently holds the United States Soccer Federation National “B” License.  Ari enjoyed a highly successful soccer career with Simon Fraser University Women’s Soccer from 2007 to 2011 where she was a starter for 4 years and team captain for the last two years. She is well known in our club and has played on our Women’s premier team since 2008, winning multiple Provincial championships and a National Championship in 2011. In addition, Ari has been part of our technical staff since 2009 and has worked in our academies throughout that time and is now our Head of Girls Development.  Ari has also been extremely successful as a BCSPL coach, joining Surrey United BCSPL with our 2002-Intake and leading them to multiple Provincial Championships as well as back-to-back Nationals in 2016 & 2017, claiming Surrey United’s first female youth National Championship in 2017.

“We are excited to be able to announce two top-quality coaches to be leading our youngest age groups in our Surrey United BCSPL program,” said Jeff Clarke, SUSC Technical Director. “Both of these coaches are highly respected in the soccer community and undoubtedly will do an amazing job working with our 2007-born intake groups and developing the age-group as a whole"
