Fall/Winter 2021/22 Registration

WHEN WILL FALL 2021/22 REGISTRATION OPEN?


  • Registration for the 2021 Fall/Winter season opens online March 5, 2021.
  • Fall/Winter soccer registration is available for U4-U18 (2017-2004) players




HOW MUCH IS Fall 2021/22 REGISTRATION?





WHEN ARE EVALUATIONS?


  • Current U10 to U18 players are evaluated throughout the season by Club staff in addition to any formal Club evaluations.
  • Non-Surrey United U10-U18 players wishing to join Surrey United are encouraged to attend any formal Club evaluations.
  • Information for player evaluations will be placed on the website (www.surreyunitedsoccer.com) and evaluations are conducted by Club Technical Staff.
  • The Registrars do not have information regarding evaluation times, placement, etc.




HOW DO I  REGISTER?


Surrey United Soccer Club uses an online registration system called POWERUP. See our General Registration Page here: https://www.surreyunitedsoccer.com/registration




HOW DO I APPLY FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE?


Some options for financial assistance are:

If support for fees is requested, or hardship has fallen on your family, please email your Registrar for assistance with registration and additional hardship program information. If you are applying for financial assistance (e.g. KidSport, Jumpstart, etc.), the application is your responsibility and not the responsibility of the Surrey United Soccer Club. You must contact the Mini Registrar (U6 through U10), Lisa Finkle, or the Youth Registrar (U11 through U18), Erin Billing, and provide them with a copy of your application for funding before the registration deadlines. Once received, the Registrar will make arrangements with you for online registration. See General Registration Information Page for more.




WHAT TEAM AM I ON?


  • Placement on mini and community teams is done on a "first received, first placed" basis.
  • Returning players are given preference to be placed on last year's teams, provided their fall/winter season registration is completed by May 31.
  • We attempt to place children from the same school/neighbourhood on the same teams but this is not guaranteed.
  • Requests for specific teams will be considered but not guaranteed.
  • Please ensure all information and document uploads on the registration site POWERUP are complete and accurate.
  • Coaches will contact players with the practice schedule and other details once teams have been formed in late August.
  • Placement on a Surrey United team is subject to full payment and registration being completed through PowerUp.




WHEN DOES THE SEASON START?


  • The Fall/Winter season runs from September to March, with a break from mid-December through to early-January.
  • Games are played rain or shine.
  • Games are usually played on Saturdays and Sundays. Generally, boys play on Saturdays and girls play on Sundays. On rare occasions, there could be some games scheduled during the week.
  • Youth players can generally expect to travel for games outside of Surrey.




WHEN IS PRACTICE?


  • Field permits are issued to the Club by the City of Surrey.
  • Practices are scheduled by the Club in August after teams are formed.
  • The Registrars do not have information on where and when each coach holds practice.

  • U8 through U18 players will practice outdoors all season.
  • U6 and U7 players will typically practice outdoors until Thanksgiving and, thereafter, practice inside school gyms where available, this is not guaranteed.
  • There is no consideration and/or refunds given due to conflicts with practice nights, times or locations.




WHAT IF I DO NOT COMMUNICATE WITH MY COACH BY SEPTEMBER 30th?


  • Club Coaches and/or Managers contact players directly once team lists are received from the Club, usually by the end of August.
  • Any player that has registered but does not attend, participate or communicate their absence to their Coach/Manager, or to the Club will be removed from team lists by September 30th.

WHAT DAYS WILL MY CHILD PRACTICE?


  • Practices are scheduled throughout the week, Monday-Friday, from 4:00pm onwards.
  • Games are in addition and generally played on Saturdays (boys) and Sunday (girls).
  • Fall practice schedules generally become available the first week of September as team rosters and field allocations are finalized by SUSC, the District/League and the City of Surrey.




WHEN WILL I KNOW WHAT TEAM MY CHILD IS ON?


Team rosters are finalized towards the end of August and coaches generally contact their players between the end of August and the second weekend of September.




WHEN IS THE DEADLINE FOR FALL/WINTER SEASON REGISTRATION?


  • The Fall/Winter season registration deadline is May 31st or until capacity is reached.
  • There may be limited registrations accepted into this year’s program to meet any social gathering restrictions and limited field resources. This may mean we will be able to accommodate fewer participants than we have in previous years in certain age groups and programs. Interested participants are encouraged to register early to avoid disappointment.
  • Any current member must ensure their Powerup account is in good standing to proceed with Fall registration.




IS THERE AN INSTALLMENT PLAN AVAILABLE FOR THE BASE FALL/WINTER 2021/22 REGISTRATION FEES?

Spring 2021 Registration

WHEN WILL SPRING 2021 REGISTRATION OPEN?


  • Registration for the 2021 Spring season opens online January 4, 2021.
  • Spring soccer is available for U5-U16 (2006-2017 born) players.




DO I NEED TO REGISTER FOR SPRING 2021 BY A CERTAIN DATE?


  • Yes. The 2021 Spring season registration deadline is March 1, 2021 or until capacity is reached.
  • There will be limited registrations accepted into this year’s program to meet social gathering restrictions and limited field resources. CAN I REGISTER FOR SPRING 2021 AND PRE-REGISTER FOR FALL 2021/22 AT THE SAME TIME?


Yes.

  • This is a brand new option for 2021 to provide financial relief to members by allowing longer installment payments to families over an extended period of time for players that want to play both 2021 spring season and 2021/22 fall/winter season.




WHEN CAN I REGISTER FOR FALL 2021/22 IF I AM NOT PLAYING SPRING SOCCER?


Fall/Winter registration will open March 2, 2021 for those members not registering for Spring 2021.




HOW MUCH IS THE 2021 SPRING SEASON REGISTRATION?


  • U5 (2016 & 2017 born) $75.00
  • U6 (2015 born) $130.00
  • U7-U15 (2014-2006 born) $150.00

Annual Registration FAQs

IS THE ANNUAL REGISTRATION OPTION NEW?


Yes, this is a new option provided by the Club as of 2021.




WHEN DOES THE ANNUAL REGISTRATION OPTION BEGIN?


  • Annual registration option goes live on January 4th, 2021.
  • Any current member must ensure their Powerup account is in good standing to proceed with annual registration.




WHAT AGE GROUPS IS THE ANNUAL REGISTRATION INSTALLMENT PLAN FOR?


  • Our optional annual installment plan is for members registering for both U4-U16 (2017-2006 born) Spring and Fall/Winter seasons.
  • The installment plan reflects base, season registration fees only.
  • Development and high performance fees are not included and are determined at a later date following any applicable evaluations and team placement.




WHAT IS THE DEADLINE FOR THE ANNUAL REGISTRATION OPTION?


The deadline for our annual registration option is March 1st, 2021.
