Spring Adaptive Super Soccer Program
SPRING ADAPTIVE (SUPER SOCCER) PROGRAM
COVID-19 restrictions related to gathering have an impact on field times and the number of players in any program. PROGRAM TIMES AND FIELD LOCATIONS ARE TENTATIVE AT THIS TIME AND WILL BE CONFIRMED BY THE END OF FEBRUARY ONCE FIELD ALLOCATIONS ARE FINALIZED THROUGH THE CITY OF SURREY.
Surrey United Soccer Club prides itself in being able to continue offering its Super Soccer (Adaptive) Program for U7-U14 (2007 - 2014) age-groups in the region. This is an adaptive sports program specifically designed for children with physical disabilities, ADHD, FASD, OCD and other cognitive challenges. This program provides an opportunity for children to participate in soccer regardless of any physical or cognitive obstacle that may make participation in traditional soccer programs a challenge. This program is open to male and female players in the U7-U14 (2007 - 2014) age-groups. The 2021 Spring Super Soccer Program is tentatively scheduled for eight (8) sessions on Tuesday evenings beginning April 27, 2021.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, SUSC will implement their SAFE RTP Curriculum, which will correspond with the guidelines & restrictions from ViaSport, BC Soccer and Canada Soccer. The overall program will operate within the SUSC Return to Play Plan. The SAFE RTP Curriculum will adjust with each update by ViaSport and BC Soccer.
All participants are required to have a parent/guardian (can be relative 18 years+) who is actively involved in the session. The parent/guardian participation can range from ‘encourager’ right up to going step-for-step with the future soccer star; the staff for the session will be the one who decides this on the day.
There will be limited registrations accepted into this year’s program to meet social gathering restrictions and limited field resources. This means we will be able to accommodate fewer participants than we have in previous years. Interested participants are encouraged to register early to avoid disappointment.
