Finishing School Program

Finishing School | Accuracy. Power. Confidence.

The Surrey United Spring Finishing School will be an eight (8) session program designed to give 2017- 2009 born players a progressive training curriculum with an emphasis on various ball striking techniques and goal scoring with a focus on repetition of the required technique(s). The up-tempo nature of selected activities will ensure a bustling hour with lots of goals.

Surrey United Soccer Club prides itself on individual player development and advancement in an inclusive environment while embracing fun, hard work and good habits. The player academy programs provide access to individualized training for players of all skill levels and experience in the sport at our exceptional facilities within Cloverdale Athletic Park. The academy programs are supported by a best-in-class curriculum developed by our Technical Department: SUSC Sporting Director Jeff Clarke and SUSC Technical Director Troye Flannery.

Our player academy training curriculum includes a broad range of both technical and tactical drills, emphasizing skill development and decision training. The Finishing School program is delivered by our certified club coaching staff in a station format featuring our curriculum: the Finishing Matrix. The curriculum is developed in a manner that exceeds the guidelines of the industry standard Learn to Play Pathway and Canada Soccer’s Youth and Children’s Diploma philosophy standards.

The Surrey United Player Academy Programs are extremely affordable in comparison to other player academy programs and similar training programs both within soccer and across other sports. SUSC is proud to be able to support all interested participants throughout the community with a wide range of academy programs that provide accessibility for all players at any level of play that wish to participate in or learn more about soccer.
