  • Positive habits on and off the field

This academy provides position-specific training for goalkeepers of all skill levels,

backed by a best-in-class curriculum developed by our expert Technical

Department and delivered at our top-tier facilities at Cloverdale Athletic Park.

Technical Focus & Curriculum

The goalkeeper curriculum is designed to challenge and develop players

consistently, with a strong emphasis on:

  • Technical proficiency

  • Tactical awareness

  • Position-specific decision-making

  • Mental resilience and confidence

Sessions are open to players born between 2009 and 2019 and will be held on Mondays at Cloverdale Athletic Park.

Meet Your Instructor: Tyler Baldock

Leading the program is Tyler Baldock, SUSC's Head Goalkeeper Instructor overseeing the technical delivery of the program by our certified professional coaches. Tyler is a graduate of Carson-Newman College in Tennessee and played professionally with the Vancouver Whitecaps FC from 2007 to 2009. Since 2014, he has served as the Head Goalkeeping Coach for the SFU Men’s Varsity Team. With over 16 years of coaching experience in Surrey and the Lower Mainland, Tyler brings a deep understanding of the goalkeeper position and a passion for developing young talent. He’ll be working closely with Surrey United’s goalkeeper prospects again this fall.
