U8 - U10 Development Stream Program

U8-U10 Development Stream Program

The Development Stream Program will continue to include a “pod” structure to align with the requirements of Canada Soccer. Our Technical Team completed an extensive review of the “pod”  last season, soliciting feedback from staff, volunteer coaches, parents and players, as a result:

  • The Development “Pod” program feature a Staff Lead “Skill Zone” to enhance technical development and establish a strong technical foundation; additionally, the Development “Pod” under the oversight of the SUSC Technical Director will review game day rosters weekly to help enable a competitive game day experience as deemed necessary.

  • We will be offering of additional game/jamboree opportunities with other club partners outside of our Pod game schedule. Inclusion in these additional games are optional and will be by invitation; additional fees could apply for these extra opportunities.

  • Volunteer Coaches will be supported by the “pod” lead as well as the SUSC Technical Director as required. A “pod” specific curriculum has been developed and session themes will follow the proficiency based curriculum whilst still allowing our volunteer coaches the opportunity to lead groups.
