U14 (2011) INTAKE TEAM PLACEMENT INFORMATION

Please find below information on the overview and background to the league as well as valuable answers to frequently asked questions regarding team placement and player selections.

General Overview:

 

Surrey United SC conducts an ongoing player evaluation process for all members in our club system, ensuring that every player has the chance to showcase their skills and progress within our community. For the BCSPL U14 Intake Teams, this assessment process begins throughout the players' U13 playing season.

 

Current Surrey United 2011 Players 

If you are currently a registered SUSC U13 member, there's no need to re-register for the assessment – you're already in the system!

Out of Club Interested Players

However, for those not currently registered with SUSC, we invite you to sign up for this exciting opportunity. 

 

Please note that while all assessment applications will be reviewed, not all applicants may be evaluated within the initial assessment window. Rest assured, we are committed to providing opportunities for assessment at later stages in the program.

 

Time Frame & Dates For The BCSPL U14 Intake Assessments:

BC Soccer has established the assessment time frame for the BCSPL U14 Intake Teams to be from January 17 to February 28. How to Sign-Up:

 

  • If you are a currently registered SUSC U13 (2011 Born) player, no further action is required. You are automatically included in the assessment process.

 

 

Important Information:

 

  • All assessment applications will be reviewed, and coaches will contact players directly.

 

  • Due to the potential volume of applicants, not all players may be evaluated during the initial assessment window.

 

  • Opportunities for assessment may be created at later stages in the program.

 

Training Details:

All details on training times and fields will be communicated directly to the participants once the invitation into the sessions is confirmed.

Meet Our U14 Intake BCSPL Head Coaches:

 

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Mariah Wright as the Head Coach for the 2011 U14 BCSPL Intake Girls and Muchtar Ganief as the Head Coach for the 2011 U14 BCSPL Intake Boys.

 

Mariah Wright: Head Coach - 2011 BCSPL Intake Girls

Mariah Wright, a CSA C-License holder and dedicated coach, brings a wealth of experience to her role. As an integral part of the Surrey United Soccer Club, Mariah serves as a SUSC Staff Coach and SUSC Female Development Head Coach. Mariah's impressive soccer career includes remarkable achievements such as being a 2x CCAA All-Canadian, 2x ACAA/AASC First Team All-Conference player, and the ACAA/AASC Female Athlete of the Year in 2020. Her dedication to player development is evident through her coaching journey, starting with technique and body mechanics specialization, and her notable accomplishments with the Women's Varsity Soccer Team at MSVU.

 

Muchtar Ganief: Head Coach - 2011 BCSPL Intake Boys

Muchtar Ganief, a BCSA Provincial B License Coach, is set to lead the 2011 BCSPL Boys with his extensive coaching background. With 7 years as a SUSC Development/Select Coach, 2.5 years as a Coach for SUSC, and 5 years coaching youth teams with NDSC & Surdel Girls, Muchtar's coaching journey spans over a decade. At Surrey United, Muchtar has been instrumental in the success of various teams, including the recent achievements of the 2005 BCSPL Girls team Provincial Champions and their qualification to Nationals SUSC Technical coaching team since 2017. Muchtar's expertise and passion for fostering technical excellence in players make him a valuable addition to the SUSC coaching team.
