Super Soccer (Adaptive) Program
Sponsored by SUSC Community Partner: K4 Construction
Surrey United Soccer Club (SUSC) continues to offer its Super Soccer (Adaptive) Program for U7-U14 (2009-2016 born) participants in the region. This program is growing more and more popular as the go-to adapted soccer program specifically designed for players of all levels of experience that require an adapted environment to support existing physical challenges, ADHD, FASD, OCD or other cognitive challenges to ensure enjoyment and learning opportunities in the sport of soccer and physical literacy, generally. This program is open to U7-U14 (2009-2016 born) participants that would not otherwise be comfortable in a traditional soccer program setting due to cognitive and/or physical challenges.
The curriculum for this program has been developed in collaboration with Jill Crichton - Kinsight organization Coordinator for Complex Developmental Behavioural Conditions; and a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Program delivery is provided by Surrey United Staff Coach, Tyler Henderson with oversight by our Technical Director, Assistant Technical Directors, Junior Club coaches, mentees from our SUSC Mentorship Program, and other club volunteers who provide further support in the successful delivery of this program. The curriculum is based on the CSA Learn to Play model.
